 Garden Club - Tuesday 3:30 pm-4:00 pm

The Pinar Garden is a produce garden created with several goals in mind.

  • Teach important science concepts including plant types, life cycles, structure, and needs
  • Give a creative outlet and a sense of pride to Pnar students
  • Get students outside in nature
  • Educate youth about healthy nutrition
  • Produce fruits and vegetables which could be used for taste tests and distributed to needy families

While our garden is a work in progress, we are proud of all that the students have accomplished and are eager to build on that early success.

The Battle of the Books Club Tuesday 3:30 pm -4:30 pm
The Battle of the Books Club meets once a week to read and discuss Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) books.  The Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program in which students read the SSYRA books, and then demonstrate their knowledge of the content through the district-sponsored, team-based competition held each spring. This club is open to students in grades 3 through 5.

STEM Club - Thursday 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. In STEM Club students research, design and build projects based off of an engineering design challenge. Students compete against others at Pinar, and then the top three students compete against other local schools.
